Gas Prices Still on the Rise!

California has the highest gas prices in the US. Luckily some of the parents are starting to carpool to away games and other events. Is anyone else starting to ride their bikes and walk more? Where we live in Northwestern PA gas is at $3.61, higher than the national average. What is the price of gas where you live?

I have been using my Giant Eagle credits to get .10 off a gallon for every $50 spent. I think Tops does something similiar. Country Fair offers .05 off if you purchase a Get Go Card (or something like that) and use it to pay for your gas. Currently they are running a special for .10 off. If you join Sam's club they offer gas at a discounted rate. Also plan your trips so that you can get as much accomplished that same day. Start out at the furthest point and work your way in. I could provide tips on grocery shopping, but I somehow think you have me beat in that catagory.

It's around $3.76 a gallon right now where we are. I'm so glad we sold our car that takes only premium gas last year, we sold the SUV as well. I know many people need bigger cars, but with only two kids, we didn't. My husband rode his bike to work today.

Ugh. Just ugh. That's what gas prices are.

What amazes me is that no one bothered to carpool before this. It just goes to show that when people are hit in the pocketbook, they start making more environmentally friendly decisions.

I don't even know. I don't pay attention to it, 'cuz I'll have to buy it no matter what. I think here it's close to $3.60/gallon. What freaks me out is how the price of groceries has risen, such as milk and cheese.

Here in south Texas it's $3.34 and just keeps rising! I agree that it's just "ugh!" Thank God my husband drives a motorcycle and we've parked the suburban for now!

That's scary. Ours won't be too long before it's there.

And exactly where do you live in Pennsylvania? Gas here is $3.65, it has been going up 5 cents FIVE cents E-v-e-r-y-d-a-y!Yes, I am walking more.. If i can walk somewhere close, I do and I take the kids with. Unfortunatly, I can't ride my bike. I haven't bought one in years and I'm to tall for the last one I bought. But ew. that is way expensive out in California. What amazes me is my doctor got a new job closer to home because gas is too expensive.. that's pretty bad if you ask me.

If I'm lucky I can sometimes find it for 3.53. It is seriously making me rethink any summer road trips this year. But, then again, next year it will probably be higher.

$3.51 here in Idaho.

And joy....we are headed to California for a small vacation in June. lol.

I kinda think the gas prices are just going to keep going higher and higher.......

Here in Wisconsin it's around 3.50. I agree with ugh, ugh, ugh! It's terrible to pay this much for gas. I love my minivan, but I sure do wish it were cheaper to drive it.

I just paid $3.71 where we were in WA... AUGHHHH!!!!

I'm seriously considering only putting my son in three day preschool next year instead of four day preschool, because of how expensive gas is! And I might even be attempting to figure out getting COnnor to nap in the car in the parking lot instead of driving home after dropping Jared off, then driving BACK to pick him up afterwards then driving back home again. It's ridiculous that it's GAS PRICES dictating how many days a week my child attends preschool and whether I can afford to drive and forth for drop-off and pick-up...

Ouch! Time for alternative energy. Do you know that as bad as it is, in other countries it's that much or more per liter, which is like 1/4 a gallon! It's still cheap here.

It hurts when we go to the gas station...it hurts when we go to the grocery store.

Seriously...something has to give.

Yikes!! Yes even in Ohio they suck! :(

I think it around $3.65 a gallon! I'm not sure though. I'm usually crying when I pump and can't see very well through all the tears!

I walked to pick up my daughter from preschool yesterday. It isn't that far, but it was a beautiful day and I actually had the time. I am going to try and do it more often since it is starting to be nice out more often. THe gas prices are amazing. My Hubby commutes a good distance, I drive his big truck now and he has the mini van...not what our original plans were when we bought the vehicles.

Hope you are ok. I'm missing your posts.

I had to check to see where you lived. I didn't remember that you are in PA also. I gassed up last night at $3.69 (northeast pa - Willow Grove to be exact).

It can make a person nuts.

We live in Evansville, Indiana and the average gas price is $3.89. I recently gave up driving our large Durango for a Pontiac G6. I drive the kids everywhere, myself to work and to nursing classes at the University of Southern Indiana. While I have some relief at the pumps-the rising costs of everything else makes for a very tight budjet.

Our gas is up to $3.99.9 ($4.00) today...I feel like gagging when I think of the next trip to the pump. I'll hold out until I'm running on fumes...and then probably pay more. LOL. I guess that's kind of like cutting my nose off to spite my face.

O...we're in Mississippi.
