I was tagged my by new bloggy friend Maria at God's Blessings for Seven Random Things...

Rules are:

1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So here are my 7 random things:

  1. I love to cook and eat! I love to try new recipes, bake cakes and pies, make fancy drinks. I wish I had more time to do it, though. Someday when the kids are older...

  2. I'm 37 and just started jogging this year. I've never been a runner, and still don't do it as much as I'd like, but I love the feeling that I actually CAN run!

  3. My favorite vacation spot is Hilton Head, South Carolina! We've gone with my family now 4 times and we have our house booked for this summer too! To me, it's the most beautiful place in the US. I've never been to Hawaii, but I bet it's the closest thing to it.

  4. I have one sister, Irene, and no brothers. Growing up, I always wished I had a big family like some of our neighbors, or The Brady Bunch, or Eight Is Enough. I always knew I wanted a large family and now have 2 boys and 2 girls. I'd have more if I had the time and money!

  5. One embarassing fact... I'm afraid to put my toes under my bed. When I make my bed, I have to stand far enough away so that they don't stick under the dust ruffle. One time I decided I wasn't going to be afraid anymore and made my bed with my toes sticking under my bed. "Ouch!" My CAT was under my bed and attacked my toes! Never again have I done that!

  6. I can't go to bed without reading. Even if I go to bed really late, I still have to read at least a couple of pages. I'm reading an Agatha Christie book now.

  7. My house is a constant work in progress. We are living in our second fixer upper and have even redone some of the rooms two times! I always have plans in my head about what I want to do next. I want to put in a gas fireplace and built in bookcases in my living room, and add a closet and paint our mudroom next.

I don't know who hasn't done this meme yet, so please do it if you haven't!

Maria, one never has "enough" time nor money for more kids - with that reasoning, you shouldn't even have had 4!

Maria - You go girl with the running!!! That is awesome! I can relate regarding your house always in progress. That is us completely - we have been under construction for ten years!!!

Hope you had a great Easter!

Oops I forgot one thing... I also agree about the time and money! I would have many more if it weren't for these two things. I can relate! I feel very lucky that I have my two boys! I don't know what I would do without them. As for anymore, we shall see!

We go to Hilton Head every summer!! It is a beautiful place . . . and it has the best biking trails!

Also, I am the same way about reading . . . even if I'm dead tired I have to read a few minutes in order to actually fall alseep. It drives my husband nuts!

I don't blame you for not wanting to put your toes under the bed if you get them clawed! That was a fun meme, I enjoyed learning more about you. Happy Easter!

I can't go to bed without reading either - I'm such a creature of habit. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter.

Those were interesting things! As per your comment on my blog,I'm liking your Russian holiday dates, they seem to always fall after everyone else, which gives you more time to get ready!

Yeah, that toes thing under the bed is a bit strange. I can't remember if you told me that one.

But I am so like you when it comes to reading before bed. Once in a blue moon I pick up my book only to hold it for a few seconds before putting it back down. Other than that, I HAVE to read something. Drives hubby crazy.

Gosh - how interesting about your toes! Isn't it funny about the foibles we all have.

Hope you and your family are enjoying the Easter weekend. x

If you ever plan to travel overseas, plan a trip to Malaysia. We're just as good as Hawaii (wink). BTW, I've blogrolled you. Think I will be coming back for more.

I'm afraid to put my toes under my bed.

ME TOO!!!!

Seriously. I need to stand 12 inches away from my bed. Sometimes i even just hop into bed from a distance.

LOL. I thought I was the ONLY one. :)

The toes are too funny!!! My weird thing is I can't haave my foot or even a toe hanging off the bed while sleeping.

I haven't been to Hilton Head in years but I really liked it, too. We love Savannah and usually end up there.

#5 is WAY too funny! Leave it to a cat to know exactly how to torture us best.

LOL on the dust ruffle thing.

I had a phobia for years about going up the steps with people behind me, because as a kid at home my younger brother, if he was behind me, would always grab my ankles as I ran up, often tripping me.

For the longest time, we didn't have a home with steps, and then, while staying at my mom's this past summer, my son did the same thing. And this after I'd finally gotten over my 'fear'.

I love cozying up with a book right before bed.
