Enjoy the Days We Get

It's March now, and for many of us, we are looking forward to getting rid of the snow we have and seeing some signs of spring.

Call me crazy, but I can actually say I'm enjoying this weather! The huge snowstorm over the weekend was exciting. The kids never had so much fun playing in the snow. The bitter temperatures of winter are gone, along with the strong cold winds. Last night I went for a run/walk (all by myself) and it was wonderful! The streets were bare, so I could actually run. There was no wind. It was just starting to get dark, but it was still a little light out. The snow was falling in thick snowflakes. Just beautiful. I'll have to go again tonight.

Take advantage of the weather we get. There's nothing we can do to change it. It's a great time to get your spring cleaning inside your house, before the weather changes and you want to spend all your time outside.

The good thing about snow falling now is that you know it won't last long! The end of it is in sight :)

Yes you are nuts. I am sick of this stuff, literally and figuratively.

But ... but ... but it's horrid outside here - gale force winds, lashing rain and never ending greyness :-(

I was just saying to my sister that although we've had a lot of snow this year the kids haven't been able to play in it much because it has been so cold. That snow you got did look like a lot of fun. I love your positive twist. As much as I'm ready for spring, I do love a good pretty snowfall.

We have been getting a lot of rain lately and I like to take advantage by sitting down and watching a movie with my family...movies like That Thing You do! hehehe. That is so cool about it being filmed in your town. Do you live in small town...bc that area looks like my town also :) So you son is a baseball fan...we are a HUGE baseball family! Ya, I can understand trying to find other kids that have the same passion. Well, I hope he has a great season!! If you stop by my blog again, check out the "Family to Family" area. I'd love for you to share your own stories in there! :)

Maria, along with Cathy I've also sent you some flowers.

In spite of all the snow you've been having, I hope the flowers are a little reminder that spring is around the corner!

God bless.

WOW that is a lot of snow!!! We have had just the cold temps! I wish it would either stay cold or get warm. Tomorrow for us it is supposed to be 70 and then on Friday snow!!!!!! Oh well!

Luckyyyyyy! I so wish we'd had a good deep snowfall this year. I just love the muffled silence that it blankets the world with for a time. And the sound of feet crunching through it.

I miss snowy weather. I know that sounds crazy, but since moving to the desert, we've longed to go back to a place where winters always include some snow.

I'd settle for snow or summer sun. The grey rain is something else though and I'm ready for it to be gone. I love you positive attitude, though, and should follow your example.

The walk/run sounds wonderful :)

The trees sure look beautiful with snow on them. Often during my drive to work I wish I could stop and take photos of the trees!

Blah, blah, blah! I enjoyed it last month. Now I'm ready for a little taste of Spring. I'm not asking for 50's, just 30's and 40's. That's not too much to ask for!
