A Beautiful Day for a Day Off of School

Yesterday the kids had the day off of school. It was a built in snow day to use if we had any snow days to make up, but we didn't, surprisingly! It was also the nicest day to have the day off. It was sunny and about 70'.

One of my sons went fishing in the creek across the street.

My oldest daughter just "hung out" under a tree.

My 4-year old just runs around everyone all day.

My 12-year old played two rounds of golf and then some basketball.

What did I do? The usual - raking, washing windows, laundry, scrubbing down the back of the house.

So what do you do on a beautiful day like this?

It does look like you're having lovely weather.

We're having a beautiful sunny day, but it's super windy. I'm home alone this morning catching up on a bunch of little things that I can never seem to do when the kids are here. Daddy took them over to grandma's house to mow the lawn.

Yeah for spring - and having a day off school. It's been nice here as well and I got a lot of yard work done.

I'm glad you had such a great day yesterday. Ours was cold and rainy and dreary. Today is turning out much better. I want to do some gardening, but the ground is too wet from the rain. Right now I'm sitting in the backyard blogging while Peanut naps and Diva plays. Diva is planting dandelions in her little garden. :) I'm ignoring the laundry that is screaming at me.

What a great day! I'd have been doing the sort of chores you ended up doing - lots of work for mom!

Hope you are having a good weekend - see you soon - Kellan

You got some great photos of your kids on this beautiful day. Last weekend it was so warm where I live and we spent every second outside- now... it's snowing!

All of the above! A little sitting under a tree, a little work in the yard, yup, that sounds about right.

I'm a teacher in Massachusetts and I've never heard of getting a day off if you didn't use your snow days! That's interesting. We usually just tack them on at the end if we need to make them up. If we don't, then we get out earlier. Looks like you had a fun day off!
